Say: Should We choose, at one time, to shed the radiance of Our loving providence upon the mirrors of all things, and, at another, to withhold from them the splendours of Our light, this verily lieth within Our power, and none hath the right to ask “why” or “wherefore”. For We are potent indeed to achieve Our purpose, and render no account for that which We bring to pass; and none can doubt this save those who join partners with God and question His Truth. Say: Nothing can withstand the power of Our might or interrupt the course of Our command. We exalt whomsoever We please unto the Realm of supernal might and glory, and, should We so desire, cause the same to sink into the lowest abyss of degradation.

Dize: Se decidíssemos, num momento, derramar o brilho da nossa amorosa providência nos espelhos de todas as coisas, e noutro, negar-lhes o esplendor da Nossa luz, isto, em verdade, estaria no nosso poder, e ninguém tem o direito de perguntar “porquê” ou “para quê”. Pois, de facto, Nós somos poderosos para atingir o Nosso propósito e não prestar contas daquilo que fazemos acontecer; e ninguém pode duvidar disto salvo aqueles que atribuem parceiros a Deus e questionam a Sua Verdade. Dize: Nada pode resistir ao poder da Nossa força ou interromper o rumo do Nosso mandamento. Exaltamos quem quer que desejamos ao Domínio do poder e glória celestiais, e, se o desejarmos faremos o mesmo afundar-se no mais profundo abismo da degradação.

Parágrafo 67

O Inmost Heart of this Temple! We have made thee the dawning-place of Our knowledge and the dayspring of Our wisdom unto all who are in heaven and on earth. From thee have We caused all sciences to appear, and unto thee shall We cause them to return. And from thee shall We bring them forth a second time. Such, indeed, is Our promise, and potent are We to effect Our purpose. Erelong shall We bring into being through thee exponents of new and wondrous sciences, of potent and effective crafts, and shall make manifest through them that which the heart of none of Our servants hath yet conceived. Thus do We bestow upon whom We will whatsoever We desire, and thus do We withdraw from whom We will what We had once bestowed. Even so do We ordain whatsoever We please through Our behest.

Ó Coração mais profundo deste Templo! Fizemos de ti o local de alvorada do Nosso conhecimento e nascente da Nossa sabedoria para todos os que estão no céu e na terra. De ti fizemos surgir todas as ciências, e a ti as faremos regressar. De ti as faremos surgir novamente. Essa, de facto, é a Nossa promessa, e poderosos somos Nós para cumprir o Nosso propósito. Em breve, traremos à existência através de ti os expoentes de novas e maravilhosas ciências, de artes poderosas e eficazes, e tornaremos manifesto através delas aquilo que o nenhum coração dos nossos servos alguma vez concebeu. Assim concedemos a quem Nós quisermos qualquer coisa que desejamos, e assim retiramos de quem Nós quisermos aquilo que antes concedemos. Mesmo assim, decretamos o que nos agrada através do nosso mandamento.

Parágrafo 66

Within the treasury of Our Wisdom there lieth unrevealed a knowledge, one word of which, if We chose to divulge it to mankind, would cause every human being to recognize the Manifestation of God and to acknowledge His omniscience, would enable every one to discover the secrets of all the sciences, and to attain so high a station as to find himself wholly independent of all past and future learning. Other knowledges We do as well possess, not a single letter of which We can disclose, nor do We find humanity able to hear even the barest reference to their meaning. Thus have We informed you of the knowledge of God, the All-Knowing, the All-Wise. Were We to find worthy vessels, We would impart unto them the treasures of hidden meanings and apprise them of a knowledge, one letter of which would encompass all created things.

No íntimo do tesouro da Nossa Sabedoria, encontra-se por revelar um conhecimento, do qual uma única palavra, se decidíssemos revelá-la à espécie humana, faria todo o ser humano reconhecer o Manifestante de Deus e admitir a Sua omnisciência, permitiria a todos descobrir os segredos de todas as ciências, e alcançar uma condição tão elevada que se veria totalmente independente de todo o conhecimento passado e futuro. Também possuímos outros conhecimentos, dos quais nenhuma letra podemos revelar, nem vemos que a humanidade seja capaz de ouvir a mais simples referência ao significado. Assim vos informamos do conhecimento de Deus, o Omnisciente, o Sapientíssimo. Se encontrássemos eleitos dignos, dar-lhes-íamos a conhecer os tesouros dos significados ocultos e transmitir-lhes-íamos um conhecimento, do qual uma única letra englobaria todas as coisas criadas.

Parágrafo 65

O Temple of Holiness! We, verily, have made Thine inmost heart the treasury of all the knowledge of past and future ages, and the dawning-place of Our own knowledge which We have ordained for the dwellers of earth and heaven, that all creation may partake of the outpourings of Thy grace and may attain, through the wonders of Thy knowledge, unto the recognition of God, the Exalted, the Powerful, the Great. In truth, that knowledge which belongeth unto Mine own Essence is such as none hath ever attained or will ever grasp, nor shall any heart be capable of bearing its weight. Were but a single word of this knowledge to be disclosed, the hearts of all men would be filled with consternation, the foundations of all things would crumble into ruin, and the feet of even the wisest among men would be made to slip.

Ó Templo da Santidade! Em verdade, fizemos do Teu coração mais profundo o tesouro de todo o conhecimento das eras passadas e futuras, e lugar de alvorada do Nosso próprio conhecimento que decretámos para os habitantes da terra e do céu, para que toda a criação pudesse partilhar das efusões da Tua graça, e pudesse alcançar, através das maravilhas do Teu conhecimento, o reconhecimento de Deus, o Exaltado, o Poderoso, o Grande. Em verdade, esse conhecimento que pertence à Minha própria Essência é tal que ninguém alguma vez o alcançou, ou alguma vez o compreenderá, nem coração algum será capaz de suportar o seu peso. Se uma única palavra desse conhecimento fosse divulgada, os corações de todos os homens encher-se-iam de consternação, as fundações de todas as coisas ruiriam, e até os pés dos mais sábios entre os homens resvalariam.

Parágrafo 64

O Breast of this Temple! We, verily, have caused all things to mirror forth thy reality, and made thee as a mirror of Our own Self. Shed, then, upon the breasts of all created beings the splendours of the light of thy Lord, that they may be freed from all allusions and limitations. Thus hath the Daystar of wisdom shone forth above the horizon of the Pen of the Eternal King. Blessed are those who perceive it! Through thee have We created other sanctified breasts, and unto thee shall We cause them to return, as a token of Our grace unto thee and unto Our favoured servants. Erelong shall We bring into being through thee men with sanctified and illumined breasts, who will testify to naught save My beauty and show forth naught but the resplendent light of My countenance. These shall in truth be the mirrors of My Names amidst all created things.

Ó Peito deste Templo! Nós, em verdade, fizemos todas as coisas espelharem a tua realidade, e fizemos-te um espelho do Nosso próprio Ser. Derrama, pois, sobre os peitos de todos os seres criados os esplendores da Luz do teu Senhor, para que se possam libertar de todas alusões e limitações. Assim, o Sol da sabedoria brilhou no horizonte da Pena do Rei Eterno. Bem-aventurados os que percebem! Por ti criámos outros peitos santificados, e a ti fá-los-emos regressar, como sinal da Nossa graça para contigo e para com os Nossos servos preferidos. Em breve, por ti, traremos à existência homens com peito santificado e iluminado, que nada testemunharão salvo a Minha beleza e nada mostrarão salvo a luz resplandecente do Meu semblante. Estes serão, em verdade, os espelhos dos Meus Nomes entre todas as coisas criadas.
